( for a moment, lio feels guilty. if enkidu could hear plants, then he would hate to hear what the plants from his world might think about him. he did his best to not burn down anything that lived, which included nature in general, but... sometimes it was unavoidable.

And that fire let us control fire. Some used it to terrorize others, but I didn't. What I wanted to do, before coming here, was take all the Burnish and relocate us to some place where we could never be seen or heard from again. To live peacefully far away from those who ostracized us simply for not being... like them.
