Well. That gets a frown, her head drifting to look out the window. Then back over to them, lips purses. Internally debating.
"...We're equals then."
It's said with a soft sigh. That was all she was wasn't she? According to Eren she was less than that even. Just a mindless creature made to obey, to be a tool. The master-servant bond didn't seem to have transferred yet though if it would. Though it was fully possible that she'd be stuck, constantly wondering about the man who hated her for what her blood made her.
"I know the kid was grumpy but I've seen worse." Tragic that she never learnt that she'd kidnapped an old guy. But she pulls her hand back from the plant. "Do you have to dig...him out every time you talk to him then?"
That response makes Enkidu raise their eyebrows a little.
"Equals? Hmmm...perhaps not entirely..." After all, this young woman doesn't look like she is made from clay and divine spit. Despite the monster features she seems to be human. "I know that humans can be used as weapons as well. After all, if humans are good at combat and do not fail when doing so they will be used for that specific type of combat. Just like the gods see me as the chain of heavens. After all, it takes a chain to connect the divine realm and humanity."
Enkidu hums a little.
"Perhaps Andersen wished to be a man instead of a boy. After all...being inside the body of a child while being a man...that seems...off. Yet, I do remember he handled it well." They have fond memories of him. "I miss him a little. I hope, back in Chaldea, he will find Avenger again," Enkidu is muttering a little. "No, I will not unroot a plant unless it is necessary."
Enkidu...That sure is a lot she doesn't understand, heaven? Gods? Onyankopon had mentioned that his people had a god, that their equivariant would be Ymir. But with what little she knew, it was just words. None of it made enough sense to her. The gods saw them as someone important? Either way, that meant very little to her. Nor did next part, to philosophical sounding.
"You're from the same place...?' Honestly, that explained a lot. But she focuses on Root once more.
Sorry, Mikasa, they are on a strange wavelength sometimes. Weird clay is weird.
"You mean Chaldea? Yes. But not all servants come from Chaldea. It is the place where our master has summoned us. For instance, Cu comes from a different time and place than I do. And Iskandar as well. We are all tied to the tales and stories that have shaped humanity."
And they get summoned by mages to fight Holy Grail wars.
"Hmmm, that is a good question. But I take it that if it has a mouth, it also has ears to hear."
Yeaaahhhh, she's just going to...Keep looking at that plant. Boy, that sure is a plant. The blink is definitely because of the sun in her eyes from being stood so close to the window and not her confusion at that.
Was...Were they saying they were a storybook character? But then the other part didn't make sense, she was just going to put that aside for now. Time for plants, she's nodding.
"It should do...But don't plants breathe through their leaves? ...But then it wouldn't need a mouth. And they eat through the roots too...."
Trying to put more human or monster anatomy on a plant was surprisingly difficult.
